Yakir Aharonov

Yakir Aharonov is a renowned Israeli physicist born in 1932, with a specialization in quantum physics. His academic career has spanned multiple institutions, including Tel Aviv University and the University of South Carolina, where he holds the position of professor emeritus. Aharonov's expertise in theoretical physics has led to appointments at esteemed organizations, demonstrating his significant contributions to the field.

Since 2008, Aharonov has been a Professor of Theoretical Physics and the James J. Farley Professor of Natural Philosophy at Chapman University in California. Additionally, he served as a distinguished professor at the Perimeter Institute from 2009 to 2012. Currently, Aharonov is the president of the IYAR, The Israeli Institute for Advanced Research, further solidifying his presence in the academic community.
