Barbara Gordon was a multifaceted American filmmaker and author, born in 1935. Her career spanned nearly two decades in television, where she worked as a writer and producer. The memoir was later adapted into a film in 1982, directed by Jack Hofsiss and starring Jill Clayburgh as Gordon.
