Chaim Malinowitz
Haredi rabbi and scholar (1952–2019)
Chaim Malinowitz was a prominent Haredi rabbi and scholar who made significant contributions to the field of Judaism. Born in 1952, he possessed a deep understanding of the Talmud, halakha, and hashkafa, demonstrating fluency in all areas of these complex subjects. His expertise earned him a notable position as the general editor of the extensive 73-volume Schottenstein Edition of the Babylonian Talmud, a publication undertaken by ArtScroll.
Malinowitz's rabbinical career included his role as the rabbi of Beis Tefillah Yonah Avraham, a congregation in Ramat Beit Shemesh, Israel, catering to English-speaking immigrants. He led this community for 17 years, providing spiritual guidance and support to his congregation. Additionally, he served as a dayan, applying his knowledge of Jewish law to resolve disputes and offer counsel. Malinowitz passed away in 2019, leaving behind a legacy of scholarship and dedication to his community.
