Roy Nathanson

Roy Nathanson is a renowned American saxophonist, born in 1951, who has made significant contributions to the music field. As a composer, bandleader, and teacher, he has demonstrated his versatility and expertise in the industry. In 1987, Nathanson co-founded the Jazz Passengers, a six-piece group, with Curtis Fowlkes, and subsequently became the leader and principal composer of the ensemble.

Under Nathanson's guidance, the Jazz Passengers have achieved considerable success, touring extensively throughout Europe and performing at prominent festivals in countries such as Finland, Germany, Italy, France, and Switzerland. The group has also made appearances at notable festivals in North America, including the J.V.C. Festival in New York and the Du Maurier Festival in Canada, in addition to touring the United States and Canada. The Jazz Passengers have released eight albums, showcasing their musical talent and Nathanson's compositional skills, with their debut release marking the beginning of their discography.
